I am a very busy and serious fellow, but I have yet to conquer my inclination to squander my talents by wasting much of my life messin' around on them internets. (ooh, that's a cool ambiguous sentence, isn't it? Say hello if you know what I mean by that! Hint: It's ambiguous the same way this is: "Philosophy is a battle against the bewitchment of our intelligence by means of language." - Ludwig Wittgenstein)

I don't like to utterly waste time. I need to rationalize it just a bit - like I'm learning a little something, or I'm keeping up with the popular culture.

With that said, of course, and to be honest, I did spend a while getting this Rube Goldberg machine to work!

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean people aren't out to get you!

I ask you how much this vendor really knows about marriage? A husband and wife, and each has a gun behind their head on their side of the bed?!?! "I SAID I want to watch South Park ... "

From their ad:

"Any thinking person realizes that he needs one for each side of the bed...imagine the husband wakes up early to work and wife is left there sleeping, a criminal is sitting outside when the husband leaves and decides to enter the home for one of many reasons. Without a back-up device on her side of the bed then she has no real protection."

Dunno what to say about this, except that it is Kevorkian's signing the car "Happy Motoring" in a Sharpie pen that puts this item squarely over the threshold into weird.

I'd say the ol' Filet-O-Fish (which must be pronounced filette-o-fish) wins, by dint of the ad photo looking almost as bad as the real thing. The Arby's Beef 'n' Cheddar is true road kill - worst lookin' piece of shit I've ever seen. But, mmmmm, I love them so - may have to go get one or two right now.

Berklee School of Music will now accept you even if you want to play 5-String Banjo or Mandolin. But, some guys are way ahead already. Pat Cloud is my fave - I've been listening to him since 1971.

Randall Patrick Munroe is my hero. I'm a firm believer in taking one's pleasures where one can get them, and this is so one of those! Oh, and don't overlook the memo - always useful when writing checks!

Pure geek genius! Genesis on the Unix command line. You get the idea in one minute, but if you've put in a little time on the CLI yourself, you can't help sitting through the whole thing, and empathizing with ol' God.
